GamesAid raises over £2,000 at Develop Awards

The Develop Awards and a charity poker tournament raised 6,380 for GamesAid at Develop in Brighton this week.

Last night’s Develop Awards raised 2,080 and you can still donate now by clicking here.

A special envelope was placed on each table at the sell-out event, and guests were encouraged to each put just 10 inside on the night.

In April this year, the MCV Awards generated 4,000 for GamesAid.

Meanwhile, GamesAid also held a special charity poker tournament the day before at the Grosvenor Casino in Brighton, which raised 4,300.

The fourth annual tournament was won by Richard Sturgess of QA and localisation specialists Universally Speaking.

"What a brilliant night," said GamesAid trustee and Develop Legend Ian Livingstone. "A great time was had by all. The GamesAid poker tournament at Develop has become an event that everyone looks forward to. The monies raised are gratefully accepted on behalf of GamesAid and the charities we support."
