Gamescom comes to the UK

Set for 10.30am on Tuesday May 4th at the Hoxton Hotel, London, senior execs will argue that buyers and reporters must come to Cologne in August for the biggest consumer and trade event in Europe ahead of planning for Q4.

Senior execs will be there to spread the word, namely Koelnmesse’s vice president of IT and digital entertainment Kai Schmude and German games trade association CEO Olaf Wolters.

Any media wishing to attend should make their request by contacting n.fielder@koelnmesse.co.uk. The Hoxton Hotel is located at 81 Great Eastern Street, London. The round-table will start at 11.

Over 245,000 enthusiastic visitors, 458 exhibitors and 4,100 journalists helped make last year’s debut Gamescom a huge success and a highlight in the international games industry calendar.

"As a focal point for the games industry, Gamescom continues to develop internationally and will be the place to meet for the international industry and the trade," spokesman Franko Fischer told MCV.

"Only in Cologne in August will the trade get to meet the whole value-added chain from developer to industry, international trade and consumers."
