GamesGrabr reveals new ecommerce platform for publishers

Gaming social network GamesGrabr is offering a new service designed to help sell video games.

Feature Collections allows developers, businesses and even influential bloggers to promote their ‘collections’ and offer a means for consumers to then buy them.

The new promotion is being pushed under the ‘cool collections to follow’ section of the website, and already features collections from eSports specialist Gfinity and TV media GinxTV.

The partner companies compile games and accessories within the collections and earn revenue each time a product is bought. Partner retailers include Amazon and GAME.

The firm hopes this will be a new platform that will encourage publishers to promote their special offers.

Featured Collections represents the next evolution of GamesGrabr as we take it from a pure play gaming social network to the complete gaming experience,” said GamesGrabr CEO Tony Pearce.

Our community is unique in terms of its engagement and social recommendation and it’s this unique access to a highly active audience that is attractive to games companies and advertisers alike.

This is the first of many feature launches we have planned in 2014 now that we have secured our crowdfuding and we are excited to provide our gamers with the additional features they want.”

Neville Upton CEO of Gfinity added: This is a great opportunity to offer our viewers the chance to buy the game or accessory they are watching during one of our gaming tournaments. GamesGrabr has allowed us to instantly launch a bespoke collection of games relevant to us with the added bonus of being able to play, buy or download it with one click."
