GameStop wary of Natal/Move shortages

US retail giant GameStop has left out Project Natal and PlayStation Move from its full-year projections.

The announcement was made during the firm’s earnings call last night.

COO Paul Raines stated that, although the company is excited by both products, it has not factored in the accessories because of uncertainty over launch line-up and product availability.

"We are optimistic about the opportunity for Move and Project Natal, to transform the gaming experience on these consoles," said Raines.

"We have seen the gameplay on both technologies, and are working closely with the manufacturers to make sure GameStop will be the destination for both. Title development and product availability for both accessories will be critical for their success."

GameSpot reported yesterday that it has enjoyed its second best year of sales during 2009.
