GMAs 2009: Shortlist wins Mainstream gong

Shortlist can now boast it has the best games coverage in a mainstream magazine in the UK – and it’s got a Games Media Award to prove it.

The magazine and website beat out Zoo, Nuts, FHM and Front for the prize.

Shortlist has been published for two years and is distributed for free to commuters in key UK cities every Thursday.

The Games Media Awards were held at Jongleurs, Camden, and hosted hundreds of the UK’s games media and marketing and PR execs.

Key sponsors were Bethesda’s WET, Activision’s DJ Hero, Electronic Arts, Formula One 2009 from Codemasters, IL-2 Stumovik from 505 Games, Namco Bandai, New Super Mario Bros Wii from Nintendo, Saw from Konami, Scribblenauts from Warner Bros., Sega, Ubisoft, and Xbox 360.
