GoW III sold 1m in week one

We don’t know in what region and we don’t know the exact timeframe, but SCEA’s VP or marketing Peter Dille has stated that God of War III passed the 1m unit sales barrier in just a couple of days”.

The news comes courtesy of IGN reporting from the North American MI6 conference. It’s unclear whether he was referring just to the US market or instead to worldwide sales.

The game hit US retail on March 16th and hit the UK three days later on March 19th, shooting straight to the top of the charts in the process.

Two further God of War software SKUs will be released in the coming weeks, with both the God of War Trilogy and God of War Collection scheduled for an April 30th UK arrival.
