Hospital Club 100 gaming and tech winners announced

The Hospital Club has revealed who was voted the Top 10 people in the tech and gaming category.

Those in this year’s list include MakieLab’s Alice Taylor and indie developer Dan Pearce.

These ten were picked from a shortlist of 25 that was unveiled last month. The top nine entries were decided by a panel of judges, while tenth place was picked by a public vote.

As well as gaming and technology there are categories for advertising, marketing and PR, art and design, broadcast, creative entrepreneurs, fashion, film, music, publishing and writing, and theatre and performance.

The finalists for this year’s hClub100 Gaming and Technology category show just the kind of broad talent and creativity this country has to offer, with more emerging every year,” said judge Michael French, publisher of MCV.

It’s pleasing that so many finalists are people in the games industry, a sector with growing prominence and recognised recently by its own tax credit system that is now worth at least 540m per year to the British economy.”

Speaking about Mitu Khandaker-Kokoris, Creative England CEO Caroline Norbury added: Mitu is at the forefront of fresh thinking and innovation in the gaming industry and has built a strong and sustainable business outside of London. She is an inspiration for all new and emerging developers out there.”
