Gamers wanting to play Far Cry 4 without owning a copy will now be able to do so.
PS4 users lacking Far Cry 4 will now be able to join players who own the game via its co-op mode. Similar to the Download Play service available on Nintendo 3DS, users will be able to download a separate app that will grant access to their friend’s Far Cry 4 lobby.
The app itself will contain all Far Cry 4 content minus the story-based missions, which are reserved exclusively for the single-player mode.
In the co-op mode, secondary users will play as Far Cry 3’s Hurk who reprises his role and becomes the only character to appear in the series twice.
