Indie retailer Games Centre wants ten stores this year

MCV Award-winning indie chain Games Centre is adding three more shops over the next 12 months.

This expansion will see the store count for the Scottish firm rise to ten, with even more planned for the following two years.

We operate from seven stores at the moment with three more to come in the next calendar year,” Games Centre MD Robert Lindsay told MCV. The High Street is still very important to the future plans of Games Centre.”

Alongside planned store expansions, the firm will also ramp up its online business.

Online will see a major focus over the coming months as a full rewrite will make the Games Centre website as attractive to consumers as our stores are,” said Lindsay.

As it stands, Games Centre has no plans to expand out of Scotland.

We would saturate the Scottish market before considering any moves south of the border,” added Lindsay.
