iPhone 5 tipped for September release

Apple’s iPhone 5 is gearing up for a release in September, according to new reports.

The Guardian has learned” that the new device is just two months away. It will include a new 19-pin connector (replacing the current Apple standard 30-pin version) and a new nano-sim (that’s 40 per cent smaller than current sims).

It will also include 4G compatibility, but only in the US which operates on a different standard.

Taiwanese contractor Pegatron has supposedly begun production of both this new iPhone and the rumoured iPad Mini.

A firm release date of September 21st is also speculated which, if true, would point to a reveal in the first or – most likely – second week of September.
