King’s Daniel Persson joins Sybo as head of games

Mobile studio Sybo Games has appointed King’s former head of studio Daniel Persson as its new head of games. In his new role, Persson will play a key role in Sybo’s future growth as a studio, as well as concentrate on game production. He will also be contributing to the studio’s marketing and analytics divisions in order to take Sybo "to the next level," the studio said in a statement.

Persson commented on his appointment: It was an easy choice for me to join Sybo, since I got a really great feeling when first meeting the team. There are strong people in every position, and Sybo is a company that is about to take a really big step forward with the game and the IP in general. It is incredible to see how far they have come with Subway Surfers, but I believe that they can go even further, in building an amazing universe that is truly worthy of fan devotion."

CEO of Sybo, Mathias Gredal Nrvig, added he was thrilled to have Persson on board: We are confident in Daniel’s ability to take Sybo to the next level. Daniel’s journey with King almost from the beginning to a mature company, has given him an almost unprecedented experience and insight in our industry. On top of this, Daniel is a one-of-a-kind guy who can motivate, inspire and challenge colleagues at every level. We are excited to have him with us on this amazing journey.”
