LEIPZIG 08: SingStar teams up with Disney on PS2

Sony has announced a new Singstar for PS3 – as well as a bunch of Disney-branded new additions to the series on PS2.

Presented during the firm’s presentation at Leipzig Game Convention this afternoon, SCEE president David Reeves also showed off new downloadable song packs for PS3.

The first two of these will arrive in Septemberand feature five songs each from Queen. They will cost €6.99 each.

In addition, he revealed that gamers will be able to play their PS2 SingStar tracks on PS3 thanks to a forthcoming firmware update.

The new PS3 Singstar will be called Volume 3 and feature Barry Manilow and Michael Jackson tracks, amongst others.

The Disney collection will include songs from The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, The Jungle Book and The Little Mermaid, and will be released in the autumn.
