Levine confirms no multiplayer for Bioshock Infinite

Irrational founder Ken Levine has revealed that Bioshock Infinite won’t offer multiplayer.

Nope… No multi,” Levine said on Twitter (via Polygon) when asked about multiplayer modes for the latest work in the Bioshock series.

The lack of the mode follows in the footsteps of the original Bioshock, which was developed by Irrational Games when the studio was known as 2K Boston. Bioshock 2, developed by 2K Marin, is the only game in the franchise to pack any kind of multiplayer.

Levine’s words officially confirm multiplayer being left out of Infinite, after it was originally reported that the mode was canned following the departure of several key staff back in August.
