London conference to focus on digital distribution

Game downloads, online networks and the future of retail will be the focus of the ELSPA-backed London Games Conference this autumn.

The single day event is being run by Intent Media, which publishes MCV, Develop, Mobile Entertainment and CasualGaming.Biz.

LGC ’09: Digital Distribution & The Future of the European Games Market takes place on Tuesday October 27th at BAFTA, Piccadilly during this year’s
London Games Festival.

"LGC will have senior speakers discussing everything to do with digital distribution and online networks," said Intent Media managing director Stuart Dinsey.

"That’s Xbox Live, Wiiware, DSiware, PSN, OnLive, Zeebo, PC download technologies and in-store strategies from the likes of HMV and GAME. There are threats and opportunities for everyone, which should make for a compelling event."

The London Games Conference offers a new concept of keynotes, guaranteed networking with speakers plus informal dinner.

Sales and sponsorship opportunities will start in the summer, but right now Intent Media is calling for individuals and businesses to put put themselves forward for inclusion as speakers, panelists or research targets.

At 229, the London Games Conference is also half the price of any previous pan-industry conference, with further discounts for ELSPA and TIGA members.
