Capcom is anticipating that it will make most of its unit sales on digital products in the coming year.

For the fiscal year ending March 2016, the Japanese platform holder expects the majority of its games will be sold digitally.

In a financial presentation released by Capcom's president and COO Haruhiro Tsujimoto, the firm said it sold eight million physical games worldwide for the 2015 fiscal year, and that this figure would drop two million in the coming year.

Meanwhile in FY2015, the firm sold five million digital games, which would increase to seven million in FY2016. This is one million more digital units than physical.

But Tsujimoto also said that it expects digital sales to increase, primarily outside of Japan.

Capcom has been eying up 50 per cent digital revenues since 2012.

The firm also revealed its sales expectations for Street Fighter V to be 2m units worldwide, including digital downloads, and 2.5m for the new Monster Hunter game.
