Mass Effect: Andromeda won’t have a season pass

BioWare’s GM Aaryn Flynn has revealed that Mass Effect: Andromedawon’t be getting a season pass. When asked on Twitter whether there would be a season pass, his answer was crystal clear: Nope.” He was then asked what the plans were for DLC and simply answered: We’ll talk more about that later.”

More details will certainly be available soon, but Mass Effect: Andromeda is not the first EA-published game not to get a season pass recently, as Titanfall 2 also released without one. Developer Respawn then released free DLC for the title, a month after launch.

And also like Titanfall 2, EA Access and Origin Access members will have early access to Mass Effect: Andromeda, producer Michael Gamble confirmed on Twitter earlier. He then clarified that this will run for a limited time only and only for a portion of the game.”

The next entry in the Mass Effect franchise will hit shelves on March 23rd for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Gamble also announced last week that it’s unlikely to come to Switch and Scorpio. The release date was confirmed recently, after it was leaked by an official art book in October last year. A 279.99 collector’s edition is due to launch as well, which will include a remote control version of the game’s Mako-like Nomad explorer.
