MCV AWARDS: Special recognition for Darren Bowen

Darren Bowen, Ubisoft’s UK sales director, was honoured with our Retail Advisory Board’s Special Recognition prize at the MCV Awards last night.

Bowen has served at Ubisoft for almost nine years and has previously held UK sales manager and trade sector manager roles at the publisher.

Prior to joining Ubisoft in September 2002, he worked as national account manager at Mattel Interactive, where he was responsible for retail accounts including Dixons, GAME and EUK.

He picked up the award having fought off stiff competition from Chart-Track’s Dorian Bloch, EA’s Penny Humphrey, Warner Bros’ Rosemary Buahin, Gem’s Darren Houghton and Koch Media’s Paul Nicholls.

The Special Recognition Award winner is voted for by our Retail Advisory Board. The RAB is an expert panel of retail representatives that includes the likes of GAME, HMV, Asda, Tesco, Grainger Games, The Hut and Play.com, plus other leading supermarkets and online and entertainment specialists.
