Just Dance UK brand manager takes on Skylanders

Rachael Grant has joined Activision as UK brand manager for Skylanders. Grant comes from an extensive background in PR and marketing having had stints at publishers Ubisoft and Eidos.

During her time at Ubisoft, Grant oversaw the firm’s music game brands Just Dance and Rocksmith. She previously held the position of brand marketing assistant at Eidos and worked primarily on the firm’s Eidos Play branded products.

Within her new role, Grant will head up marketing for Activision’s Skylanders brand throughout the UK.

I am extremely excited to be taking on the role of UK brand manager at Activision and working on Skylanders,” said Grant.

She added: This franchise that created the toys to life genre has already been a huge success, and this looks set to continue so I’m very proud to be a part of the team.”

Green Man Gaming appoints new marketing manager

The digital and physical games retailer has appointed Mike Kebby as marketing manager.Kebby is formerly of Sony, where he spearheaded the firm’s PlayStation Store and has also managed digital marketing activity for Sega.

Within the new role, Kebby will focus on Green Man Gaming’s publisher and console marketing as the firm looks towards the busy Christmas business period.

With my previous experience at both a platform holder and game publisher, combined with my market knowledge and digital marketing experience, I feel I can really help Green Man Gaming with the next stage in their tremendous growth,” said Kebby.

Kebby added: I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in and helping to grow and nurture a loyal global customer base.”

Executive vice president Darren Cairns said: I’m so pleased that Mike has joined the team. Having worked with him at PlayStation, I know what a great addition he will be.”

PR veteran Watson joins Emanate to manage Ubisoft titles

Kayleigh Watson has joined the Emanate PR team as senior associate. Working out of the team’s London office, Watson will work primarily on the mainstream press outreach for Ubisoft.

She will oversee a number of the publisher’s key brands including Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Rayman Legends, Just Dance 2014 and Rocksmith 2014.

Watson is formerly of Lunch PR where she handled titles for a number of publishers including Nintendo, Deep Silver, Sega, Bethesda and Codemasters.
