MTV MAN TAKES ON MOSHI MONSTERS
The company famous for Moshi Monsters has added Bill Roedy as its new non-executive director. Roedy will assist Mind Candy with its global expansion and will help develop new brands as well as launching entertainment such as Moshi TV, cartoons and films.

Former U.S. Army commander Roedy also worked as chairman and CEO at MTV Networks International, taking the brand across the globe.

MAKIELAB WELCOMES FOX AS CHAIR
Martha Lane Fox has joined games start up MakieLab as its new chair.

I’m absolutely delighted that they wanted me as their chair,” said Fox about her new appointment. MakieLab CEO Alice Taylor added: Having Martha on board is an amazing privilege, and a complete delight.

Fox previously worked at Lastminute.com and co-founded Lucky Voice. She was also a non-executive director of Marks & Spencer and chairman of digital charity Go-on-uk.org.

MARMALADE COO HEADS BAFTA GAMES
The academy has appointed Harvey Elliot as the new chairman of its games committee. Elliott, who is the managing director and COO of leading cross-platform software technology business Marmalade, takes over from Ray Maguire, whose term ended in July.

SALES TRIO BOLSTERS VENATUS MEDIA
The UK gaming sales house continues its growth with three new hires to its media sales team.

The ex-commercial manager at LoveFilm Toby Smith, joins Venatus’ sales team while former Spil Games account managers Laura Ballesteros and Ceri Disbray join as the firm’s account manager and sales account director respectively.
