Who saw that coming? Officially licensed Mercedes DLC is going to be released for Wii U’s Mario Kart 8.
Japanese gamers will be able to download a version of the Mercedes GLA for use in the title, NeoGAF has spotted. As part of the agreement Mario will also feature in a TV Mercedes ad.
There’s also a Super Mario Bros themed Flash takeover on the Mercedes website, although disappointingly its not playable.
The Wii U content will be free, but there’s now word yet on possible availability outside of Japan.
Mario Kart 8 will be released tomorrow (Friday May 30th).
