Midas man joins ELSPA as Commercial Manager

ELSPA has grown its team ahead of this summer’s rebrand to UKIE.

Former Midas VP head of sales Sam Collins has taken up the role of commercial manager at the trade association, MCV can reveal.

Collins has worked at Majesty House, the firm which owns the Midas and Ghostlight publishing labels for nine years.

He confirmed his appointment to the new role last night.

Collins’ hiring is just one of three new roles the organisation plans to add.

ELSPA head Michael Rawlinson confirmed last week that along with a commercial manager, the association hopes to have a public affairs and policy officer and a public affairs and communications manager by the end of the summer in place too.

By that time ‘ELSPA’ will also cease to exist, rebranded to UKIE: The Association for UK Interactive Entertainment (it’s pronounced yoo-kee).

A new logo for the association, plus a new website, will go live at the same time.

It’ll prove to be a very busy summer for ELSPA/UKIE – it told MCV last week that it currently hopes to have helped the Government put PEGI ratings into law in the UK by October.
