More Sonic accessories due in September

Peripherals specialist Lazerbuilt has secured the rights to Sonic the Hedgehog.

The firm will produce accessories for consoles and mobile devices.The range is due to arrive at retail this September.

Lazerbuilt says it will not only target children aged between seven and 12 years old with Nintendo 3DS and DS travel packs, but also the 18 to 40 year-old male demographic, who grew up with Sonic on the ‘90s Sega Mega Drive console.

Lazerbuilt’s key accounts manager Ben Klarich (pictured left) said: It is a pleasure to have signed the Sonic licence. I’m excited to be working on innovative and interesting products.”

Sega Europe’s head of brand licensing Sissel Henno added: We’re delighted to team up with Lazerbuilt on Sonic accessories for video games and mobiles. Lazerbuilt has great experience developing accessories with global IPs.”
