NBA 2K16 has shipped 4m units worldwide across all platforms in its first week, publisher 2K Sports has announced.
The figure is a record for the baksetball franchise. Digital sales have doubled the numbers of NBA 2K15 during the same period as well, with three times as many games played online.
The game was developed by Visual Concepts, and heavily influenced by director Spike Lee – who wrote, directed and produced the title’s MyCareer mode.
NBA 2K16 is available now for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
