Developer Ghost Games has said that microtransactions will not be included in the upcoming Need for Speed, nor does it plan to charge for DLC.
We plan to release a series of free content updates for Need for Speed. We currently have no plans for any paid DLC,” it said in a Q&A, adding: There will be no micro transactions.”
It was announced last night that the PC version of the game has been delayed to 2016 to allow for the addition of a better-looking title with an unlocked frame rate. This in itself is a bit of a departure for the series, whose most recent – Need for Speed: Rivals – was locked to a 30fps rate on PC.
However, it seems there has been a change of heart following some recent PC performance problems for a number of high-profile releases.
For consoles, however, the frame rate will be locked to 30fps.
For any driving game a steady frame rate is incredibly important, and with Need for Speed we're delivering super high production values when it comes to both visuals and sound,” Ghost Games added.

As previously confirmed, players will need to be online to play the game, even if playing single player.
