New Rayman Adventures title coming to mobile this Autumn

Stop us if you’ve heard this one before: a new mobile game promising ‘an HD console-quality experience on mobile’.

Nevertheless, that’s what the next entry in Ubisoft’s series of Rayman spin-offs for smartphones and tablets is offering.

Rayman Adventures does have some punch to back up its claim, however, as it will run on an improved version of the UbiArt Framework graphics engine, which powered Rayman’s previous visually-impressive mobile and console outings, as well as fellow Ubisoft lookers Child of Light and Valiant Hearts.

Alongside ‘a variety of impressive graphical details’ including new dynamic fluid particle effects, that react to players’ movement, Rayman Adventures will run at a smooth 60 frames per second.

The plot will follow the eponymous limbless hero and his Norse companion Barbara as they seek the fabled Incrediballs and save the Sacred Tree, travelling through worlds such as ‘whimsical’ castles and the islands of Olympus.

Ubisoft Montpellier is helming the title’s development, with a release date scheduled for sometime this Autumn.
