Nielsen’s most wanted games revealed

Media ratings company Nielsen has revealed results of a survey to discover what upcoming titles are on gamers’ most wanted list this year.

All three console lists were covered head to toe in franchise sequels, prequels, reboots, spinoffs, etc.—with The Last Story on Wii being the lone exception.

Halo 4 stands atop the most anticipated Xbox 360 titles, with Assassin’s Creed III peaking on PS3 (and right behind Halo 4 on the 360). Max Payne 3 and Resident Evil 6 also had strong showings on both consoles.

Over on the Wii, Epic Mickey: The Power of Two finished behind the multi-platform ringer Madden NFL 13 for the two top spots.

Also worth noting: The Xbox 360 had two exclusive offerings in the middle of the respective list. The Wii as well, though the pair of games ranked at the bottom of its corrosponding chart. The PS3’s rankings offered no conosle exclusives.
