Nintendo not exhibiting at CES

Nintendo will not be an exhibitor at next year’s Consumer Electonics Show.

Reports emerged that Nintendo would be showcasing its products at the Las Vegas event in January when the platform holder’s name appeared on a list of exhibitors for the first time in 16 years.

It was hoped that the company would be showing off its innovative upcoming handheld, the Nintendo 3DS, as well as more examples of the games that will be released for the system.

However, the show’s organisers at the Consumer Electronics Association have now confirmed that this was an error, and that Nintendo of America will not have a booth on the show floor, according to PC World.

The CEA released a statement saying that Nintendo will take meeting rooms at the conference, but will not exhibit. Other games companies that will be present include Microsoft and Sony.
