Now motion-sensing 360 talk returns

Expect more of this sort of thing as E3 nears. Last week it was the PS3 that was preparing for a motion-sensing E3 reveal, and now it appears that Xbox 360 is being connected with the same rumour.

Engadget claims to have received ‘a tip’ from an insider connected to the design and manufacture of a new ‘sensor bar’ that would enable Wii-like functionality on Microsoft’s machine.

Unlike the Wii, however, this new tech is said to recognise full body movement without the use of a controller. It incorporates both a camera and a microphone. In theory the tech could lead to lifelike controlling of titles.

Fact of fiction? Impossible to say. But we have been here before, haven’t we?
