Broadcast regulator Ofcom has received 25 complaints following ITV’s Arma II gaffe in a documentary about the IRA.
It emerged yesterday that a short video clip sourced from a fan-made Arma II video was presented in a documentary as proof of the IRA shooting down a helicopter.
ITV has since apologised, blaming the move on human error”.
Journalism.co.uk reports that following the complaints to Ofcom, the documentary has been removed from the ITV Player service but will be restored once the footage has been replaced.
