One in five eSports fans would pay $200 for event tickets – Eventbrite survey

Live event marketplace Eventbrite has released the results of a recently conducted eSports event survey that includes a few notable findings for the industry to take note of.

Gamasutra reports on the survey, which polled 1,500 individuals who attended eSports-related events with tickets purchased on Eventbrite.

In terms of ticket pricing, 41 per cent of those surveyed said they’d pay $49/?49 for an eSports tournament ticket, while 19 per cent said they would pay in excess of $200/?200.

As far as the actual game featured in the competition goes, 74 per cent said they went on to play a game more frequently after attending an event that included it. 47 per cent also said they left events more interested in purchasing new content related to the games they saw.

38 per cent of those polled stated that they’d be willing to travel internationally in order to attend an eSports event as well.
