Assassin's Creed Syndicate will not arrive on PC until a month after it hits consoles.
Ubisoft has announced that the PC SKU will be released on November 19th, while the PS4 and Xbox One versions remain on track for October 23rd.
Note that the PC game has a different developer – Ubisoft Kiev – with Ubisoft Quebec handling the console releases.
While the final PC spec requirements have not yet been released, the publisher has confirmed that its framerate and resolution will be unlocked.
We have introduced several new improvements to our production pipeline and validation process, which allowed us to focus on polishing, stabilizing and optimizing the PC version very early on in the project,” Kiev's studio production manager Sam Kovalev said. This has been one of the top priorities for the production team this year.
The additional four weeks are for us to really bear down and finalize all of the polish and optimization, to make sure the game and all of its systems are stable when it launches, so it runs smoothly for all players starting on day one.”
Last year's Assassin's Creed Unity was the first time that the PC version has released alongside consoles, and as we all know, that launch was not a pretty one. While there were plenty of issues with the console release, the PC version in particular had some torrid issues.
