The next instalment in the ever-widening Persona 4 universe is coming to Europe this year, in line with its North American launch.

Persona 4: Dancing All Night is the third spin-off from the 2009 RPG, following fighting game Persona 4: Arena in 2012 (a sequel to that game, Arena Ultimax, was released in 2014) and dungeon-crawling puzzler Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, which came out late last year. A Vita update of the original game, entitled Persona 4 Golden, was launched in 2013.

Like those titles, Dancing All Night sees the return of several of Persona 4's roster of characters, who will continue the story seen in last year's Persona 4: Arena Ultimax.

This time, the gameplay of choice is rhythm-based, a la Dance Dance Revolution. There will be a story, said to stretch for over 30 hours, with 30 different music tracks able to be grooved to.

Although the Persona series found its feet in Japan, Persona 4 spread the franchise's popularity to the West, quickly becoming a cult hit. The original PS2 SKU of the game soldnearly 200,000 copies worldwide in its first week, remaining at the top of Amazon's PS2 charts for two weeks.

Dancing All Night be launched in Europe this Autumn, roughly aligning with its release in the US.

The PlayStation Vita-exclusive title will be available at both digital and physical retail, with the latter receiving a 'Disco Fever' SKU, which bundles multiple accessories such as a case, box, keychain and CD with the game.
