PES 2015 promises ‘return to core values’, adds Master League microtranactions

Konami has lifted the lid on the upcoming PES 2015, revealing what are described as plenty of major changes.

Co-developed by both the Tokyo and Windsor PES Production teams, the game apparently sees a true return to core PES values of total control, super responsive controls and renowned gameplay, where the user has unrestricted control over how they play”.

The Master League has been completely overhauled and for the first time – sharp intake of breath – offer players the chance to add players or managers via microtransactions, or instead via the in-game currency.

Team and transfer updates are also promised weekly across a number of leagues, including the Premier League.

Konami says that key elements of the gameplay have been completely re-worked, including a new shooting system and an altered ‘final pass’ mechanic allowing for little knock-ons or searing low passes that use new physics routines to ensure the ball behaves realistically across every situation”.

There have also been changes to the dribbling mechanic designed to improve one-on-one situations.

Also promised are faster response times to control inputs, reactive AI and an emphasis on running that has moved away from tricks and toward core dribbling core.

It’s all powered by the Fox Engine, of course, boasting real-time lighting and improved player likenesses as well as the PES ID system that supposed sees specific teams playing as their equivalents would in real life.

PES 2015 will be released on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC this autumn/winter.
