Nintendo’s answer to Skylanders and Disney Infinity has been pictured in greater detail.
As posted on NeoGaf, the Amiibo range includes characters such as Mario, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Pikachu, Link, Princess Peach, Pit, Fox McCloud, Kirby, Wii Fit Trainer and the Animal Crossing villager.
Reports suggest the models are of high quality and have been confirmed by Nintendo to work with a range of titles, including Super Smash Bros and Mario Kart 8, using both Wii U’s in-built NFC tech and a dedicated 3DS NFC base station.
Eurogamer reports that Nintendo America boss Reggie Fils-Aime says they will retail for a comparable” price to Skylanders and Disney Infinity – pitching them at anywhere between 6 and 12.
