Nintendo will release a pink version of its 3DS XL next month.
It’s due for release in the UK on May 31st. Nintendo says the release provides newcomers to the Nintendo 3DS XL experience with more options than ever before”.
A pink version of the entry-level 3DS is already available.
The 3DS XL can currently be purchased online for between 160-200.
The release of the pink console has throughout this last generation of machines typically marked the point at which platform holders wish to make their consoles more mainstream. ‘Cos, y’know, girls like pink and stuff.
DS has always gone big on pink colouring and Sony even released a pink version of the PS2 Slim.
