PlayStation Pub Fund title Guacamelee headed to PS3 and Vita

The latest game to benefit from the PlayStation Pub Fund is Guacamelee, a side-scrolling puzzle platformer from DrinkBox Studios.

Described by studio COO Graham Smith as a Mexican-themed co-op-multiplayer dimension-swapping Metroid-vania beat-em-up platformer”, Guacamelee is headed to both the PS3 and PS Vita. Smith promised that the game will leverage the strengths of both platforms, although he didn’t divulge any specifics on what those were.

The PlayStation Pub Fund was started by Sony in 2009 to help indie developers bring unique experiences to PlayStation gamers. Games such as Joe Danger and Tales from Space: About a Blob have benefitted from the program in the past.
