Sony’s streaming video service Vue has passed the 100k subscriber mark a little over a year since its debut.
That’s according to a new report from Bloomberg. Sony has yet to release any official figures.
Vue rolled out across the entire US earlier this year, following its initial debut in March 2015 in a handful of states. It’s not yet available in the UK.
Initially interpreted as an attempt to make the PlayStation the media hub of the living, Vue has actually since arrived on a few other devices, including iOS, Amazon Fire and Roku.
Current US Vue partners include Disney, Fox, Viacom, Turner, Discovery and NBC. Availability of state-specific live channels varies in each region. It also offers an on-demand library, and shows can be recorded for a limited time on the console’s HDD.
Sony has already cut the price of the service a number of times, with packages currently starting at $30.
