PopCap’s Giordano Bruno Contestabile joins Tilting Point

Creative agency Tilting Point has named former PopCap man Giordano Bruno Contestabile as its new VP of product management and revenue.

The move brings an end to the exec’s five-year stint at the EA-owned casual games studio, where he most recently served as executive producer to the Bejeweled franchise.

Before that he worked as PopCap’s mobile games boss and was business operations manager at the studio’s Asia Pacific office.

With nearly a billion smartphones and tablets on the market, and a majority of users playing games, the opportunity for independent developers is unparalleled in the history of gaming,” Contestabile stated.

Tilting Point was built to help great developers seize this opportunity and I’m really excited to join this excellent team.”

Tilting Point says it is investing $40m in development and marketing over the next three years.
