PS3 firmware fix this Wednesday?

Following Sony’s decision to pull its 2.40 firmware update for PS3,

CVG

is reporting that PlayStation customer support is saying that the firm will release an updated 2.41 patch this Wednesday.

Many 2.40 users successfully downloaded the update last week and have since been able to access features such as the in-game XMB and Trophy system. However, following widespread reports of rebooting problems following its installation, Sony removed the 2.40 update from its servers.

Sony has yet to make an official announcement regarding 2.41.
