An image reportedly showing a prototype controller for Sony's next-gen console has leaked onto the net.
Originally posted on Destructoid, the shot shows a controller designed similarly to Sony's DualShock line – with influences clearly taken from the Vita handheld as well.
The controller includes some major alterations, carrying what looks to be a touchpad, a built in speaker, and an unidentified bar that glows. Minor differences include a modified D-pad, analog sticks, and rounded sides.
IGN sources claim the controller is real; though as an early prototype, it's possible the final design could be vastly different.
Sony is widely believed to unveil the new PlayStation hardware at a promo event next Wednesday, we'll see if its controller is also on display.
