Quantic Dream registers domain for PS4 title

Quantic Dream is known to be working on two new games for Sony, and the second of these could be a PS4 title.

Superannuation has discovered that back in November, the Heavy Rain developer registered the domain ‘singularityps4.com’. That is a telling bit of information considering QD had registered the ‘heavyrainps3′ and ‘beyondps3′ domains in the past, both of which have turned out to be PS3 games.

Quantic Dream released PS3-exclusive Heavy Rain in 2010 and revealed Beyond: Two Souls for the PS3 last year.

The PS4 game could well be based on the tech showcased by the French developer last year in its Kara tech demo.

It’s unlikely that it will be called Singularity though, since Activision and Raven Software released a shooter by that name in 2010.

Sony is rumoured to be preparing a pre-E3 announcement for the PS4, with some reports suggestion that the console could be on store shelves as early as October. If that is the case, we may not have to wait too long to learn more about Quantic Dream’s next-gen plans.

In the mean time, check out the Kara tech demo below.
