Replay announces new consumer event Play Expo Leeds

Leeds United FC will play host to a brand new consumer games event next month.

Play Expo Leeds will take place on April 16th. It will mirror the formula of previous Play Expos, offering access to hit modern games, VR, retro titles as well as arcade and pinball games. There will also be lots of merchandise for sale.

The retro offering will span a large era dating all the way from the PlayStation to Pong. A large number of arcade cabinets will be accessible, including some rare and unique items that enthusiasts are unlikely to have seen before – they’ll all be playable for free, too.

On a more modern theme, visitors will be able to get hands-on with VR platform including the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR. There is also a dedicated Minecraft area, with a multiplayer Hunger Games contest. There will also be the chance to check out new title from local developers.

Tickets are priced at 13 for adults and 8 for under 16s. A family ticket for two adults and two kids comes in at 32. Potential exhibitors are also invited to contact Replay at contact@replayevents.com.

Play Expo has established itself as a premier name in gaming entertainment and we’re delighted to extend the brand to the gamers of Leeds,” Replay director Andy Brown said. For Play Expo Leeds we’ve worked hard to deliver a unique blend of interactive exhibits, new and retro play and arcade gaming which we believe will prove irresistible for any and all gamers looking for an unforgettable day out this Easter.”

Replay has previously hosted Expos in Manchester, Glasgow and Blackpool.
