Activision Blizzard has announced a fourth map pack, Resurrection, will be released this month for Call of Duty: Black Ops.
The news comes as the publisher reports that the game has sold more than 25 million worldwide since is launch in November.
Resurrection – referred to as ‘Rezurrection’ by Activision’s social media manager Dan Amirch – will first launch on Xbox Live on August 23rd, with PS3 and PC versions to follow.
The DLC focuses on the popular Zombie mode. It features four updated maps from 2009’s Call of Duty: World at War, as well as a brand new one set on the moon.
Resurrection will cost 1200 Microsoft Points. Since the updated maps have already been given to consumers who purchased the Hardened and Prestige editions, anyone who owns those SKUs will be able to download the map pack for free.
So far this year, Activision has released three Black Ops map packs: First Strike, Escalation and Annihilation.
During the three months ended June 30th, revenues from Call of Duty content packs grew by 40 per cent year-on-year – a key factor in Activision’s digital growth during the quarter.
