Microsoft may be readying open web browsing for the Xbox 360.
Sources have shared with The Verge that a modified version of Internet Explorer 9 is currently in testing on the console.
The new Xbox browser will supposedly let users surf all parts of the web from the comfort of the couch. At the moment the 360 offers Bing voice search, limited to media results only.
The report also claims Microsoft has heavily integrated Kinect gestures and voice control into the package; though neither are mandatory.
No confirmation in sight as you’d expect, but with E3 less than a month away it may be just a matter of weeks before this rumour turns real.
