Publisher Sega has promoted Naoya Tsurumi to the head of its consumer business for Europe, Japan and America.
The firm has also confirmed that Sega Europe boss Mike Hayes will take the newly created role of president and COO of both Sega America and Sega Europe, as revealed by MCV earlier this week.
The job changes are designed to align the two Western markets to ensure ‘more aggressive collaboration' in the areas of product development and operations, and follow the departure of former Sega America president Simon Jeffery.
This unified organisation will better position Sega for growth across these key markets,” commented Tsurumi.
I'm delighted to be heading up the Sega Western territories at such an exciting time in the company's resurgence as a leading video game publisher around the globe,” said Hayes.
As shown at E3 last week, Sega has a winning line-up of titles over the next 12 months and beyond. The management changes announced today will ensure that Sega's consumer business is positioned for long-term growth and success.”
