Sega Europe names Jason Rice as new Director of Brand Licensing

Sega Europe has made its second major hire this week, appointing Jason Rice as the company’s new Director of Brand Licensing.

Rice boasts 18 years of experience in commercial branding, having most recently served as an executive with Turner Broadcasting’s Cartoon Network. Prior to that, Rice served as head of children’s programming at the BBC.

"I’m delighted to welcome Jason to SEGA. Over the last couple of years, we’ve heavily invested in the growth of our now extensive licensing portfolio, resulting in a fantastic range,” Sega Europe COO Jurgen Post said in the firm’s announcement.

Jason brings with him a wealth of experience with top brands and is perfectly placed to further develop and expand on our strategy and licensing offering."

"SEGA is a fantastic brand with some inspirational IP," Rice added.

"There are some incredible opportunities to explore with some strong partnerships with key licensees already in place. It’s a great time to be here at SEGA."

Sega Europe hired Jason Rooke as its new Marketing Director earlier this week as well.
