So we’ll see The Last Guardian at TGS, right?

The Last Guardian was no-where to be seen at Gamescom this week. So a showing at The Tokyo Game Show next month is a given, surely?

Nope. Of course not.

Sony’s been looking for the right time” to re-announce the missing in action PS3/PS4/PS5 game for very nearly a year now, but when asked by Eurogamer if TGS would be the right time for a long-awaited unveiling Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida replied: "I don’t think so. Sorry.

"When we are ready. I cannot confirm any timing because we are waiting for it to be in a state where we are happy that this is the game. We have a certain time frame in our mind, and the team is making great progress, but still not to the point that we can say that, here you go."

Sony assured fans earlier this year that the game is still absolutely in the mix”, although it was in June forced to deny reports of its cancellation.
