Sony reveals All-Stars film homage art

Ahead of the release of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, Sony has lifted the lid on an artistic promotional campaign for the game.

It has teamed up with illustrator and life-long gamer” Aled Lewis to produce three pieces that combine key characters from the game and iconic scenes from three films.

Specifically – The Karate Kid, Rocky and Reservoir Dogs.

I was thrilled to be asked to design three pieces for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale,” Lewis stated. I’ve always been an avid video game player and a huge fan of the 8-Bit look of the early generations of games.

The pixelated designs as a kid allowed for your mind to wander and offer scope for what the characters might really look like. In keeping with this and in appreciation for the original game artists I wanted to use this style when creating these iconic images.”

The Karate Kid piece can be seen on a giant billboard at East London’s Great Eastern Street in above Child of Jago between November 19th and 26th.
