Long-running indie studio Spiderweb Software is going to once again release games on iOS, after abandoning Apple's platform in April.
The founder of the developer, Jeff Vogel, pulled the outlet's latest mobile effort, Avernum 2: Crystal Souls, earlier this year, citing an update to the iOS operating system that caused serious technical issues for players.
Vogel added at the time that iOS development for all of the studio's RPG titles had been halted.
Several months on, it seems that the wounds have healed, asa new blog post from Vogel has revealed his plans to return to iPad, having re-written the graphical engine for his upcoming game Avadon 3 in order to remedy the problems that led to his departure.
Vogel's expansive post, which partially attributes his frustration with iOS to his age, concludes: The people who make the games you love? They are human too. They will age. They will falter. Be tolerant. Be supportive. Forgive them.”
