Square Enix is currently running what appears to be an interactive Deus Ex reveal

Twitch viewers are being invited to take part in an interactive reveal” of a new title that very much looks like the next Deus Ex game.

It’s called CantKillProgress and can be viewed here or at the bottom of this story. Right now it shows some looped video of a man in a cell, with chat participants able to swap between alternating feeds.

A couple of other titbits have been revealed too, here and here.

In 2010 Square Enix boldly claimed that it had a ten-year plan for the Deus EX brand which first debuted with the seminal PC title of the same name back in 2000. Since then we’ve had Deus Ex: Invisible War (2003) and Deus Ex: Human Revolution (2011).

A Director’s Cut version of the latter was initially revealed as Wii U exclusive before going multiformat. The game made its smartphone debut in 2013 with Deus Ex: The Fall.

In October 2013 Square announced that a next-gen Deus Ex was in development, backed by an ongoing, expanding and connected game world built across a generation of core games” called Deus Ex: Universe.

In March Square Enix filed a trademark for something called Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, too.
